Bali (11/20)
Picture below is my personal collection. Originally a submission to National Geographic Society #GenGeo Storytelling: Photography course.

It is translated as “free meal” in English. I found this spot during a pandemic while strolling around the town, in Bali, to be exact. In which we knew it is one of the areas that is hugely affected due to Covid situation. Many people are struggling; as tourism industry, their major income, is currently dropped down. The streets and all its decorative elements, usually could be one of the attractions, are now being left-out. Closed doors, lights off. However, that was one thing. The people, is another story.

It caught me to the core that I had to stop and captured the rare moment. This picture symbolizes both positive and negative, a powerful meaning in this difficult time: how on one side it is representing how badly people are affected that one even cannot fulfill their plate. On the other side, anyway, it simply tells us how we still have light and hope in this darkness; the virtue did not left us. Covid may stops us from being with people physically, but the spread of kindness are still out there roaming, in any, even the smallest form.
